Youzi prefers the shadows, encasing herself on all sides, impervious to all attacks. She finds refuge in the warmth of her bed with the cluelessness of slumber. She is impulsive and struggles with managing emotions and thoughts, leading her to ruin connections on a whim. She treasures those who are close to her and often confides in her partner, Rei Sakuma.
Her nasally voice and lung control allows her to have steady vocals while singing.A former national youth figure skating champion and a former soloist idol underneath PrismaEnternainment, Youzi performed at small venues and opened for other underground idol concerts.
Now she continues to live on as a shut-in college student, hoping to find her place in the world.

Appearance

Youzi is a medium height female with broad shoulders. She has greyish lavender hair with blonde and black streaks, parted into twin drills that stop at her shoulders, and deep brown eyes and a mole underneath her right eye and a mole on her chin. She also has two pairs of vampire bite moles on her neck, one on the right and one on the left. She has a cluster of piercings on both ears, a nose bridge piercing, a lip piercing, belly button piercing, and a back of the neck piercing, along with tattoos on her abdomen of a scorpion and a tattoo along on her back of a spine bone. She wears heavy purple eyes makeup with drooped tarume and thick namidabukuro, along with deep purple lipstick. She sports long sharply filed stiletto nails in the shade of a deep purpleShe wears a purple no shoulder blouse with light purple flaps, and black ribbons and small cross charms. She wears a choker with an upsde down cross on her neck. She wears a black heavy skirt with multiple layers, with straps that drape on her shoulders with frills. Her hands don fingerless gloves studded with rhinestones on the wrist strap. She wears a thigh strap with a small bat in the middle on her left leg. She wears ripped thigh high stockings, the right leg one stopping at her thigh while the left leg on stops a her knee. She wears thick black leg warmers that begin at her mid-shin, with leather belts wrapped around it. She wears very tall platform shiny loafers. Once in a while she will wear a black army-style leather hat with a cross and angel wings on it.

Personality

Youzi at first seems to be a rude and aloof loner with a stern glare, seemingly refusing to talk to anyone as if suspecting them of a crime. During her time in school, she spent most afternoons sneaking into Yumenosaki to spend time with her partner Rei Sakuma. At this time she was surrounded by many friends despite feeling as if she had none. Despite her constant proclamation that she desires no contact and connection with other people, she yearns to be seen and loved by someone.During the war, she was best described as a panicking sheep, bouncing around here and there, unsure if what was truly happening. During this year she became more and more impulsive, struggling to manage her emotions and mind. Becoming more anxious and concerned with how people around her felt, rather than how she felt.Youzi’s struggles with social anxiety rooted in her relationship with her parents. As a child she, originally born in the US, had to move to Japan to stay with her distant cousin’s family, as her parents had no time to personally raise her. This resulted in her disconnection from familial ties, despite growing very close with her cousin, declared brother; Yuzuru Fushimi.Youzi found a connection during a winter as she skated for the first time, beginning her path as a competitive figure skater, going on to earn a youth national title.At around the same time Yuzuru went to military camp, Youzi’s parents moved to Japan, requiring Youzi to immediately move back in with them. ~8 years apart had drawn a deep gash in her relationship with her parents, causing a deep disconnection. This resulted in her mother being unable to understand her, leading to heavy disagreements and distress for the two.Gaining the habit of natural wanting to please her mother, Youzi began to struggle with denying requests even though she knew she wouldnt be able to fulfill them. This caused her to be seen as untrustworthy and incapable of asking for assistance. She quickly caught on and began lying in order to protect herself from disappointing others and protecting herself from getting hurt. However she began to watch as less and less trust was placed in her.Youzi attended a coed provate school near to Yumenosaki, juggling figure skating with school and social cliques. By the time of her second year, burn out had caught up and she began losing the energy to complete simple daily tasks, leaving her almost too tired to get out of bed at times.Right before the war, Youzi had lost a bet among her classmates, forcing her to secretly break into the neighboring academy, Yumenosaki, and to get a picture for proof, this led to her first meeting with Rei Sakuma.Rei had saved Youzi from getting caught by the teachers, and in return the two began hanging out weekly in the music room practicing and helping train Youzi’s vocals, eventually catching feelings for each other, oblivious to the other’s emotions.During the War, Youzi’s demand for success in the eyes of her parents eventually crashed down, causing her to lose control of everything, Youzi and Rei had made a promise, that they would both become idols they could be proud of, if not, they would leave the world together.Nearing the climax of the war, Rei confessed their feelings towards Youzi. However, despite feeling the same way, Youzi panicked and on an impulse left overnight back to the US.Youzi cut off all ties from outside of the US, including Rei, leaving her with nobody. She began working at a small cafe, trying to regain her sight on her path in life. She struggled to make connections once again and spent her nights drinking on rooftops to make amends for her sins.However as fate would have it, after Rei’s execution during the war, on one of his trips abroad in the US, the two coincidentally reunited in the small coffee shop where Youzi worked. The two reconnected and decided to give their relationship together, a chance. Youzi watched as the emotional burden from the war had taken a toll on Rei, and vowed to stay by his side to help him recover.The two returned back to Japan and resumed school. Youzi began working as a soloist under PrismaEntertainment. Refusing to ask Rei for help, as she worried about placing more pressure on him, she slowly started her activities as a solo idol.However her identitiy as a solo idol with no audience, Youzi forgot to watch her back, and eventually ran into an leaker scandal. A photo of Youzi and Rei had gotten leaked, with Rei and Youzi’s reputation at stake, Youzi publicly announced that she had approached Rei with impure intentions and was the one at fault, for she believed that if Rei had a blow to his reputation as an idol, what would he have left? Youzi’s self sabotage, left her with constant harassment and threats, causing her to stop all idol activities immediately, and withdrawing from the industry.Youzi’s anxiety and paranoia at this time had reached a new high, causing her to delude herself into thinking her life could be taken away by someone. Along with the irrational constant fear of being watched, this caused her to once again, impulsively cut off all outside contact, and shutting herself inside.Youzi spent her days staring at her monitor screen, watching what could have been, as a live from UNDEAD plays on her utube. This starts her revelation as she watches Rei shine onstage. Her promise with Rei had been broken, she had failed at becoming a succsessful idol as they had agreed. Now what right did she possess to say she could confidently stand by his side? What place did she have left in the world?

Family

Youzi’s family consists of her parents, her aunt and uncle, and Yuzuru Fushimi. Her aunt and uncle raised her until her parents moved to Japan.Both of Youzi’s parents are higher ups within large businesses, causing them to be working nonstop. Other than her aunt and uncle, Youzi has not connection with her family, except for ties with her relatives in China.
